So I'm pretty amazed how few guys clicked BB hunters. I thought more guys on here were about the big ones. Maybe they didn't vote in because they are busy scouting. The rest of us who have jobs and families are hiding at work talking on forums.
Lol. What a scam. Snake oil suit does nothin. See sharks 99% of my dives and never been hurt. Lemons, Bulls, Carribean Reef sharks, black tips, sandbars, Great Hammerheads, etc.. Never been a problem. Only shark i dont regret never meeting was a Tiger. Seen em from the boat but never underwater. Hammerheads are by far the coolest shark to swim with. HUGE and docile...unless you're a tarpon.Hope you was diving in a hecs outfit.
Shooting from land with a trad bow is super frustrating. I suck at it.I go offshore when I'm invited.. Not very interested in spear fishing, I got a H2O bow that I take when we go offshore...freshwater bowfish regulations essentially only allow trash fish. I'm not good at it... Shooting from shore is tough with the extreme angle/water refraction...traditional bow with no aimer doodads....almost hit a fish once....hahahaha
Elevated on the boat much better...big schools of spadefish are very fun
Part of me thinks at least the daytime dives would be fun but the other part thinks Mother Jue never raised such a fool.Lol. What a scam. Snake oil suit does nothin. See sharks 99% of my dives and never been hurt. Lemons, Bulls, Carribean Reef sharks, black tips, sandbars, Great Hammerheads, etc.. Never been a problem. Watched sharks rip my fish to shreds plenty of times and ive been rammed twice but they were just trying to get the fish out of my hand. Did have a huge nurse shark gently bite my dive fin one time but she swam away after. I wish i had a gopro during the last 2 yrs down there i would have had some crazy footage. Especially on the night dives. You just see one swim through your flashlight and then disappear into black.
Ive been bit by snapper a bunch of times after the shot. Worst was a dog snapper on my hip, i couldnt get him to let go. And i got bit by a spiny lobster pretty bad on my finger (yes they can bite...HARD). Weirdest pain related thing that ever happened was a spiny sea urchin in st. thomas stung me right on the tip of my johnson.
Spearfishing is something like a peaceful adrenaline rush. Laying on the bottom of the ocean in silence and then boom, you're connected to a 30lb grouper. If you like hunting and fishing it is the ultimate sport. Its a very frustrating learning curve but when you get it down there is nothing quite like it.
