I am seeing where several guys have switched to bows from Gearhead Archery, for use out of a saddle.
I currently shoot a Mathews Triax, but gotta admit I am interested in these Gearhead bows.
How many of you are shooting them, are you satisfied with them, what model you shoot and what specs?
Hoping to shoot a few at a show soon, and need a place to start lol.

I shoot the D20 and love it. Very smooth, quiet, shock free and accurate. It is not as forgiving as a full length bow and if you
Struggle to hold on target with a normal bow it may not be for you. That said, if you do your part it is just as accurate as any of the flagship bows made today. For whitetails from the saddle with 40 and under shots it’s awesome!

I just got the B24. Heavier and a little firmer draw cycle than Jared's. Has been shooting pretty well for me so far. I have the cam set .5" from max draw and am getting 270 fps with 542grains and 75lb, which is more aggressive. Can also change brace and drop poundage for more forgiveness and ease of draw.

I'm interested in getting one of these bows to but at 31 inch draw it's not really an option.... Kinda sucks...

I went and shot a b20 and b24 few weeks ago. In my mind going 24 was what I wanted but after shooting I think 20” is perfect. Trying to sell my bow before I can pick one up. Wife’s rule! I’m either going with T20 or D20. I thought they were pretty smooth and very stable.

Don't hold me to the actual measurements but I believe that depending on the model, GearHead also sells extended mechanical releases to accommodate for longer draw archers. So if the model you are interested in only goes to a maximum say 28 DL setting, you can get a 4" extended release and/or you can adjust the slider grip to close in on that 31 inch draw if you purchase that option. I believe with the slider grip option you can get about another 1.25" in DL. In addition to that, you can make an extended nock "D" loop to make up the distance as well.

I wonder why the D20 has a 28 inch draw, yet the T18 and T20 go out to 29 inch. Sure it's design limits with poundage adjustment and riser design. 15 pound range on the D20 is nice, but also shedding over half pound on the T20.

I actually shot a T18 carbon (think that is correct model) a year ago at a show. Just a few shots, but I was impressed. Much nicer shooting bow than I expected. The carbon price tag was more than my wife could digest, lol. I am a 27.5" draw, so I think the D20 would work fine.

Thinking the Disruptor series might be easier to sell her on. Of course, I probably need to follow the same wife rules as above, and sell off another bow first lol.

I shoot 32.5” out of my b-24. It goes that far, but the 65-75lb limbs top out at less than 75. I’m halfway to 2/3 topped out at 61.7lbs. Then again, the energy is plenty for Cape buffalo at that draw length, much less cervids.

the b-34 can also go that far. If you buy the b-24, I’ll save you a dozen hours. B string setting. Module at 8. Grip all the way forward or one slot back. 65-75 pound limbs at around 62lbs. Very shootable, although it took 2 trips to gearhead to figure out the settings that would work.

the results? 565gr arrow 31.5” long at settings above goes 264fps over the chrony.
