Which knee pads would you use?

Seen videos of guys using the tactical pants with knee pad inserts...not sure how they would work under bibs or any other garment over them. Would probably very useful in early season. New they can be expensive, but if you have an army surplus store you can get them for reasonable. It eliminates the strap around the legs, which in turn doesn't cut into the skin or cut off circulation depending how tight you keep your knee pads.
