Does anyone using Amsteel have concerns over this?
"We are constantly testing the strength of the SteppLadder due to the fact that it continues to amaze us everytime. We compared our SteppLadder rope and ¼” Amsteel blue rope. Our rope has a tensile strength of 3,000 lbs while Amsteel is said to top the charts at 9,000 lbs. Both ropes were spliced to the Stepp the same way and tied the exact same way. After lifting the front of the 8,000 lb excavator off the ground, our rope finally snapped on the back side of the tree. It is important to note that it did not fail at the spliced or tied ends of the rope. The Amsteel rope slipped away from the tree where the loop is tied before the weight of the excavator could be fully applied to the Stepp. This is more evidence that there is no better rope out there for the Stepps than what we currently offer!"
