@tailgunner I don’t think so. I was only 12 ft up and he was at 30yds steady walking. Deer walk at 3mph and if you do the math they are in and out of range in less than a minute, but more importantly, I was in the wide open against the tree and there is no way he would not have seen me move. As it was, I kept saying in my mind “ok, he’s going to see me now” “ok, he’s going to see me now” At 8yds he stopped for a second and I’m like, “ok, that’s it, he‘s definitely going to see me now”. Never did, and I had my clothes bag and my bow on my back. I looked like a ninja turtle on the side of that tree. I literally could have just jumped on his back, that’s how close he walked under me. It was surreal, this was a mature buck and it was like he was zoned out and not paying attention.
