Whoopie sling for platform?

Is anybody using a whoopie sling to attach a cam over design platform? If so what size amsteel? I would love to move away from a metal buckle and towards a lower stretch material.

I was also wondering if this would work better than the buckle strap.

You can use 1/4 amsteel for it but it's a pain to deal with at times

The size is a pain or the material in general? Just a pain to adjust?

In my experience it's hard to get tight and even harder to get it loose. You have to try to milk the sleeve as it's tight against the tree and isn't easy to do. Give it a shot you might like it but to me it was more trouble than it's worth.
