Why a saddle over a climber for being mobile, but most of all being comfortable

I don't think a saddle is more comfortable than a summit climber though. If long comfortable sits are your main priority, stick with the climber.
you have to learn how to get comfortable in a saddle. There can be a painful learning period, but there is a payoff. Its what those of us that do it understand. The advantage

I was fixing to say he better watch out cuz one he's not 80 and two he's probably more physically fit than 90% of us on this forum. He's got fist the size of bowling balls and arms the size of anacondas. Haha I'm just kidding(or am I?). I wanted to see if I could add to the legend! I'm sure @WHW would appreciate it!

Do you think a saddle is safer than a climber? I think that would be a draw if you use safety equipment that is made for both. When I use a climber I wear a harness and put the tether above me and adjust it up as I climb. In lock ons I use the Lifeline so I am connected from the ground up. I think safety just comes down to the individual and how safe they want to climb. I dont think it matters if its a ladder stand, climber, lock on, or using a saddle.

I am 60 years young I started hunting 5 years ago from a climber and stands. Switched to a saddle in 2016. I would never want to haul around a climber again. Noisy and bulky.

Presets with bolts rock on my own property.

No suspension trauma. Yes. I will never hunt from a tree any other way.

1in 3 Tree Stand Hunters in their life time will fall. Why not minimize that too much as possible.
 
I primarily used a summit climber for 10 years and killed a lot of deer out of it. It was super comfortable but it was bulky carrying through the woods. I had a spot on a river where I wanted to paddle in 2 hours and hunt. Doing that with a treestand was always a roadblock for me just because of the weight and not knowing if I could get into the tree I wanted. Last year, I got the saddle primarily because I wanted to hunt that spot. The saddle has much less bulk plus it allowed me to get into a tree that had branches on it. It was the only tree that worked for the wind direction. I killed a nice buck that day and I wouldn't have ever tried sitting there if I didn't have a saddle. I still have the climber. I thought I would still use it but after getting used to the saddle last season, I didn't sit in my climber once. It took me about 5 hunts to adjust my saddle so I was comfortable. I can sit all day in it now.

A guidos web is just a comfortable and easier to carry than a climber. Now a 10 pound climber would be nice

HA! For the record I'm 74, and the primary reason that I went to a saddle was the safety factor. My lock-on set up with rock climbing harness was light and very portable.

I'm 72 and with my set up I am much lighter then a climber or hang-on and much more comfortable packing in/out. I have had bypass surgery, both shoulders and hands operated on and a bad back. I'm a leaner and do all day sits in my DIY saddle/sling, which I can't do with my climbers or hang-ons to uncomfortable because of my back. I hunt for mature bucks in their bedding areas and climber noise would blow them out. I don't have to hunt for a tree to climb, can hunt any tree and use the tree for cover. My setup weighs 14.2 lb. now but when my Predator platform, Mantis saddle, and Beast Sticks get here I'll be at about 10.8 lb. And by the way WHW post here and he is 74, and I'm sure there are a few more on this site around our age.

I have a summit Titan that is set up with goodies that I will never get rid of. I havent sat in a saddle yet but as soon as it gets to where I cant sit dark to dark without moving a bunch, its right back to the climber for me.
