Why do people do this

That’s another issue I’ve seen on wheeler this year. Butchering the deer at the gate/truck is one thing (I guess) but why can’t they drag it out of plain sight. Wheeler is a wildlife refuge in Alabama and I feel like stuff like this is just begging the government to ban hunting and fishing on it. There are roads all through wheeler that non hunters use to walk and ride. Out of respect I think you should leave the guts/carcass away from the road where other folks don’t have to see it.

I bet they do it because they are lazy, but if it’s to scare off other hunters or other folks looking to enjoy the refuge I think it will only have a negative effect.
My thoughts exactly. I leave carcasses all the time, but in remote areas where it's highly unlikely anybody except another hunter will find the bones. But down here with our wildlife I've come back the next weekend and not been able to find any trace except a spot on the ground devoid of leaves.

I’d be happy if they did away with those birthday balloons, rare trip into the woods around here where I don’t find at least one of them.

If you come up with a good hashtag that also has a domain I'll secure it and host it for free.
@Nutterbuster if you get the official SH tactical trash pouch in hand I’m sure you could get a short YouTube video we could all share. People got some time on their hands, would be cool if this got some legs.......

This is true. But conventions are different. People will do things by themselves they wouldn't do in front I'd other folks.

No. Rather it's the people that are dedicated to the outdoors and don't want to give out various opponents cause to attack.

It's the people that are in it for a quick buck, an easy meal or, or a bit of came that are typically the ones that are less than respectful. And can't be counted on in the various fights we face.

#PickUpYourGame
#PickYourGameUp

These are phrases used in sports which just mean do a better job.

In reference to hunters needing to do a better job at keeping the woods clean of trash.

Also a play on the word “game” as hunters we refer to wildlife as “game.”

This is is a great idea guys! Hopefully it gets some movement and will help motivate a few people to change there ways.

I've started spending alot more time hunting public this past year. There definitely is alot of trash out there. My personal goal for me on every trip is to bring at least 2 pieces of trash out on each trip. Just hoping a little bit will help over a long time. The only down side is I usually throw the trash in the bed of my truck, so I got all these old beer cans floating around. Just hope the DNR walks up and looks in the back and gets the wrong idea! Lol But actually I keep a 5 gallon bucket in the back with a lid just for trash.

That's why I carry a full size pack even when turkey hunting. Last time out on a new piece of state land I had to strap my jacket to the outside of my pack to fit all the trash. A friend of mine and I also keep an extra bucket in the boat when bowfishing. Helps clean up the water and doubles as shooting practice
