Why your user name?

I was registering my first internet hunting site account (believe it was Rokslide) in the midst of a full blown elk obsession circa 2012 and I'm not the creative type, but I rolled with it. I grew up in the suburbs of the Paris of Appalachia but culturally I identify as a Yinzer.

I would love to be able to tell you that your post cleared things up for me, but.......WTH is a yinzer??? Pretty sure we don’t have those in SC (unless a yinzer is someone from Ohio, Gods knows we’re flush with them)

Someone from Pittsburgh/western PA. Started out as a derogatory term referencing the immigrant working class, similar to hillbilly, but has come to be embraced as a title of endearment by the entire region.

Western PA dialect says yinz instead of yall or youz or whatever. I think America is better embracing such regional intracacies, rather than the boring azz wonderbread suburb I grew up in.

My first online poker account on party poker was lackingaces. When I signed up for twoplustwo (poker forum) I didn't know if I was going to have to type my name each time so I shortened it to lacky. I played poker full time for 9 years and part time for more, and am known as lacky by lots of poker friends so I just use it for everything now. It is usually available.

My best bud nick named me scrap dog because i used to fight alot. Some how it went from that to sdog...and then to sdonx. Hes one of those funny guys who puts a name to everything.

As you can imagine coonass was not a term of endearment that was given to Cajuns

First forum I ever signed up for was a Terps sports forum. Being from Garrett County I was GCTerpfan. Since creativity isn't my strong suit I've been GCTerpfan on every forum I've signed up for since.

We from Pgh do have a bunch of unique phrases, don't we?

The girl I dated in high school HATED when her mother called me Ike, so I used it as a username from time to time to get on her nerves.

When I got on hunting forums, I didn’t want to get confused for Ike’s Outdoors, so I added the manTx.
Just IkeTx didn’t sound right.

I got into brewing my own beer. So I used Homebrew. The 454 was my badge number at the time I signed up.

Back in the day as a high school ag teacher in rural Illinois I needed to create an account for a high school sports forum so I could heckle the some of the coaches of teams our football boys were dismantling. So I looked up from the computer and saw my turf grass pest poster and right there on the bottom was a curious little hairy chinch bug.

So your assignment for today is.....
