Wild Edge Amsteel Rope Mod and Amsteel 3 Step Aider

I received my amsteel orders the other day and had to shoot a video to show some of the guys. Here is my first ever attempt at editing a video. I used a GoPro, my cell phone, and an app so sorry if the quality it low.

Video was fine. You did a great job with that but you didn't show us how you attached the aider. Did you have to un-cam the step and thread the aider loops over the stand offs? Nice light set up though. Probably easily get to 20 ft. or more with 3 of them.
 
Yeah I thought about that part after I had put everything together. You can uncam the step and add the aider to the standoffs or you can do it before you even tie the step on. I ended up liking adding the aider to the step then step to the tree.
 
What size amsteel did you use on the Stepps (not the aider)?

Just started looking at the amsteel rope mods for the stepps. Are you splicing the amsteel around the crossbar so it’s permanently attached, or just splicing an eye in the rope and using that to run a girth hitch around the crossbar?
