Wild Edge/Primal Step "Single stick"

Doesn't a cam buckle require two hands? My current setup uses a camlock with a 10mil rope that I can pop with a single hand. Easy peasy.
Cam Cleat? What is your current set up you are using? I don't see how a cam cleat would work in a WE Stepp

Not with a WE stepp. River's Edge stick. And that works just fine. Little heavier and bulkier than I would like though.

A cam buckle can be carefully loosened if you push down the button and have your fingers beneath the strap and pull out at the same time as you apply pressure on the button. It’s pretty tricky, slow, and you have to have your other hand ready to grab your stick/step/whatever as soon as your strap loosens. Certainly far less ideal than a cam cleat, but possible.

I like this setup, but what's the trick in moving it when you're up above it? I get what TooheyBirdie is saying, but some folk don't have $100+ to spend on a single stick. I have a single River's Edge stick I modded down from 32" to about 26" but I move through some thick stuff where I hunt is it always seemed to get snagged on branches and what not.

Thinking of using a snap shackle with amsteel rather than tying/untying or using a cam buckle setup:

I find it easier to move around limbs n stuff because of how small it is. The cam buckle for me is way easier for this setup so you ain't gotta fiddle with that knot

I used a 3 step aider on a primal step for a while. It was a pain to reach down and unhook to move. I'm also too short to take advantage of the 3rd step except on the first move.

I copied this attachement method for mysteps and it works pretty slick. I think with a wire handle running through the point of the "v" you could release a step that was attached with a whoopsie daisy and just slide it up the tree and recam it with only minimal readjustment.
