Has anybody had a problem with them bending while you cam them over? I had a step bend when I camed it over and I didn’t have it to tight just like I always do I tried to get in contact with wild edge but haven’t heard anything back

Toss the side the bent into the tow hitch of a truck or something 'strong' and bend that bish back! My cheap primals bend sometimes, but I just bend em back. No issues so far....obviously if the arms crack or something then you have an issue.

I would say that if they are bending appreciably then your not getting them lined up straight before your camming them over. I notice they do flex to take up for some irregularity in the tree surface. If when your camming them over you notice a drastic difference in where the stand offs are going to make contact then you need to reposition the step. I have heard that some have had this problem and they just bend them back. I've used them for two hunting seasons and a boat load of off season practice and I've never bent one.

Like the others have said, they can bend if you try to cam them over hard and you have unequal pressure on the standoff legs.

Before camming, make sure each leg is seeing equal pressure. To bend them back, place the bent leg into the safety chain hookup slot of a truck hitch and yank.

Someone made a quick video of how to do this, but I can't seem to find it at the moment.

That what I’m saying I wasn’t camming it over to tight or anything like that or side ways I did it just like I always do and it bent lol which ain’t no problem just seeing if others had that problem what they did to correct it far as bending back or what not or if they ever had one bend at all or not!

When I first got my primals I had that issue but once I learned to keep them equal and not use them on really irregular trees it has been fine!!

The only time I bent one was when I wasn't paying attention and had the rope routed wrong. Another symptom of that is the step will not cam over fully. May not be the issue for you, but wanted to share in case it applies.
