Hey guys, long time lurker here. I am a DIY guy. I have done multiple sewing projects and various other projects as well. The wife and I hunt together and we have started traveling out of state once a year on bucket list hunts. We like the idea of the saddles. Being I like winter projects, I'm going to make a couple saddles we can test and use during the off season. I had a 1972 Nova that I was going to restore with my Dad and daughter, but they didn't have the time. I was going to do my own seat reupholstery and purchased a NC Carpet Industrial Walking foot sewing machine. It is an NC1 model. Will this machine fit the bill? Thanks for any feedback and allowing me to lurk/learn from all of you.

I believe it is a NC6

Which is a rebadged Seiko STH-8BLD-3,
which is the machine that was made by Seiko for Consew to sell as Consew 206-RB3 and 4
Made in Japan

Consew moved production of this model to a different manufacturer in China. All the while Seiko kept up with the STH-8BLD-3 and still made in Japan.

I have a Consew 206RB4 (made in Japan by Seiko). Great machine.

I am within driving distance to Newark and if I had the $ for a new industrial, that would be the exact model I would buy. And if I could get a better deal on the Seiko (same exact machine without the nc badge), I would buy that.

this would easily be able to sew saddles and upholstery.
