My thoughts exactly!! My only question or concern is what they are made off. It would be a cheap alternative however thats a low price for the amount of materials it requires for the step, then factor production cost etc. something seems off. Waiting to see what the OP reports on these!!!
 
What a Stepp Ladder ripoff! I thought Mr. Stepp patented this?

I think the patent expired which I believe wildedge then started to make them with Mr. Stepp. I could be wrong but I believe that is the story
 
I had some original Jim Steps made by Jim himself, I hated using them as a ladder and sold them. I regret that now as I think they would be a pretty good platform. I'm 280lbs or was at the time and they did move a bit. I'm absolutely positive these are Chinese knockoffs and won't be as good. Looking forward to your review and would love to see some video. Especially if you're a big guy. I'm still searching for the perfect platform and thinking this is as close as it gets.

This reminds me of the rip off of the pit barrel cooker by barrel house cooker. I will never support the knock offs even if it does save me $$.

They are knockoffs. There are knock offs on ebay too under than name scorpio, those even include the bag. Someone had tried them I recall and they were junk compared to the wild edge ones.

The only thing I'm intrigued about by these is the cam buckle attachment. I've been thinking about trying that with my stepps, At times I am having a hell of a time getting the tension on the rope correct to have it came over properly. If you don't get this perfect the stepp will be loose and it might kick out on you.

A buddy on a another forum just sent me two originals. I look forward to trying them for this, I'll need to replace the rope first as they are dry rotted terribly. As someone else pointed out, I'll never support knockoff's either. Amazon is famous for knockoff vendors using someone else's actual trade name be careful of Amazon. Saw a vid the other day about fake Toxic Broadheads being sold on Amazon, They were about half the price but they didn't fly right. I'm not a fan of Toxic, but I hate a ripoff artist most of all. The people at Toxic did come up with something new and innovative and don't deserve to be ripped off, but some Chinese chicken S*** factory. America First.
 
I bought a set from wild edge earlier this year and they are fantastic. You need to get the slack out of them first but after that they have locked down tight consistently. I have only made 5 or 6 climbs with them so far so experience is limited will post in the review section at the end of the season.
