Woodsmanship - Other Animals

I'll echo what others have said. I always monitor the blue Jay's. Squirrels I generally ignore, I've had some bark at me and others not even while I was in the same tree. I've had them run up and down the same tree I was in and yell at me from the neighboring tree. Same goes with turkeys, if they're chill then the woods are calm. I've learned deer don't mind being around goats, sheep and horses but want nothing to do with cattle.
Now when I really pay attention is when the woods go still. Then you know somethings up.

I also dislike the dillos. Eat up all the turkey eggs. I've seen deer mix with cattle in north GA but not often. I agree hogs and deer dont mix. Have em both where I hunt and never see them in the same area during a hunt. We have some fat, tasty hogs though so I don't mind. I almost prefer to hunt them at that location as it's a working farm and they are darn near farm raised pork.. Now a nasty swamp or mountain pig are just nuisances imo.
