Carry 4 30” hawk helium sticks or 5 17“ trophy line mini sticks. Right now I just carry a stand in with me every time I hunt but I’ll have a saddle before next fall. So will probably be getting some pack to carry the sticks and platform. I hunt in the south in some pretty thick crap, definitely easy to get equipment hung up in.

I would recommend carrying 4 mini sticks with 4 cable aiders.

That gets you ~136” of “stick” compared to the ~120” from the 4 hawks and ~85” from the 5 mini sticks without aiders with way less bulk.

If you haven’t tried one-step cable aiders, they’re the bomb. Way more sturdy than amsteel/webbing aiders, always stay open, and pack tiny. They’re cheaper on DanO’s website (doublesteps.com) than LWCG.

Neither is the correct/wise answer especially if your busting through thick stuff, get yourself a multistep moveable aider or versa aider from backwoodsmobilegear.com or cable aiders. 2 20” beast sticks and a step step moveable aider gets me 17’-18’ to my platform.

I bought 3 22" sticks from DanO at EWO. I have a single 20" aider on two and a double 20" aider on one. I have 146" of "stick" and get to 17' with ease. They're rock solid, ultralight, and seem nearly indestructible.

Don’t buy anything until you monitor this forum for at least two months and watch the 100’s of YouTube videos on mobile hunting, saddle hunting, single step climbing, two tether climbing, etc.... Pick out a technique that appeals to you and then go for it. Even after all that you’ll probably change again before the season.

I hate to carry sticks but that's what I use mostly sometimes on pre sets I use the 20 foot stick ladders and maybe one more stick on top if I need a little more hight

Ive got 3 30” hawk heliums. I don’t hate them but I know there are much better options and probably more options coming out before the 2021 season
