WTB Blackhorn 209 Powder

Can't see to like posts in the classifieds. But glad you think I picked the right one. it's my first muzzleloader so lots of research to do
 
Compared by volume, the actual weight is almost half. In reality, you get ALMOST twice as many shots as you think lol. @woodsdog2 I'll keep you in mind! Shipping is the killer almost as much as the availability... BH209 is good stuff; especially when you consider the corrosiveness (or lack thereof), the non-hygroscopic properties, minimal fouling, and velocity increases (~20% over standard by comparable volume)! As a negative, you need to be WAY more selective on primer choices, as a "normal" primer will most likely cause hang-fires. Also, if you don't have a "locking" in-line muzzleloader designed for it, you will most likely need to open up the flash hole to ~0.035".

They buy bulk powder from the manufacturers, package it and sell it. They also develop and publish load data. Hodgdon got it's start buying/ reselling surplus military powder after WWII/
 
I buy it from Walmart at the end of the season on clearance.
