I am getting ready to make an XOP platform with the XOP Ibeam. Just a quick question...

What type of bolt system are you guys using to connect the seat/platform to the Ibeam.

The seat should come with a bolt to attach however i know a few that use grade 8 bolts from the hardware store

Thank you! I figured most were just using the included bolt, just wanted to make sure

I used the one it came with, bent it. Also note the use of this I-beam as bought will require a support rope. I switched to a solid bar stock to finish out the season, but will have my xop seat and I-beam drilled out to accept a 5/16" bolt. Its going to require a Bridgeport to offset the hole, not just make it bigger. Sadly I miss my I-beam already after 2 sits.

What type of knots are everyone using for attached the support rope to the platform. I have some 8mm amsteel that I am going to use.
