I love this thing. It’s a perfect hybrid set up. It’s surprisingly comfortable for such a small stand. It’s easy to adjust the platform and has many leveling options. The cushion is actually very nice and comfortable. I have not weighed it but it’s not an issue to carry it and my one stick. It’s very light. It sets up very solid on a tree. I have used it with one strap or two. Both ways are solid. I prefer the two strap. It’s no issue to side load. Best money spent for me. It’s a good looking stand. If I didn’t have a Helo I’d consider it for sure. I like the profile for sure.

I have had allot of questions asked about it so I thought I would share. I have two M7s my kid loves them. They are just kinda funny shaped for me. I also discovered yesterday that it’s pretty comfortable to rest your knee on at times. So far it’s pretty spot on for where hunt

So you're just more comfortable on the retrograde than the M7? Do you think a smaller feller would be ok on the M7 or retrograde all the way?

The m7 is a comfortable stand but for me it’s not conducive to long hikes or thick brush. My kid loves them. It’s a larger platform and seat. The retrograde is kind a good middle of the road. Small enough and light enough to not be a burden on long trips but still enough room to sit or stand comfortably

So another little update. The ability to adjust the platform multiple levels to always get a level platform is really awesome. Makes any tree comfortable. I’ve not had any issues in any tree I’ve been in yet this season. I can also just carry it in my hand like bundled above and it’s really not bothersome. As I use the cushion more and more. It becomes more comfortable. I know it’s not as large and a .25 heavier than the lone wolf .5 but the design and how streamLine it is. Makes up for it. Doesn’t hang out the sides of a meat shelf or anything that could hang up on your walk. I do not have any affiliation with XOP but it’s the first stand I’ve been this happy with ever in my life. I’m sure there is much more comfortable stands but for mountain hunting I feel it’s the perfect stand.

Anymore feedback after a full season of running this stand? Looking real hard into going with this or a .5 to pair with my minimalist one stick instead of a platform. I’ve missed the seat of a tree stand on those long all day sits!

Sorry for the delay. Shooting and dance competitions started. So very little free time. After a whole season. I will only use it from now on. It’s the best stand I’ve ever used. Unlike the .5 it has a more narrow profile. It doesn’t stick outside of the body outline. It makes no noise and it’s easy to hang and maneuver. The seat is surprisingly comfortable and rigid. It goes on any tree and it’s not difficult to make it work level or in a crooked tree

Just placed my order. Now to figure out which suspension system and which small pack to go with to take place of the EXO K3 I’ve carried for years.

The retrograde is one of the best stands I’ve used. Put about 30 hunts in it this year.
I have the same kuiu pack that I can do the same thing with. It’s the best stand I’ve used. It’s perfect for what I do.

I have one I’d part with if anyone is interested

I’m guessing in this config yes. Pending stopper bolt placement

You have done exactly what I’ve been trying to figure out. I do love the stand but at my size some way to stretch my feet would be nice
I need to see how the stopper bolt sits. I wasn’t looking for a high foot rest but something I can extend on to. Should work slick though

I started with the rests on the inside of the frame that was way to high and hendering for me

I’ve drawn up several ideas but I want to be able to easily take it off.

That would be tough to make easy to come off. In this config u could just leave them folded back and they would be out of the way
