I looked around the sea of forums but didn’t really find a direct comparison between these two sticks. I’ve owned the Heliums before and they were nice. I sold them because I want to do one sticking with a stick with no moving parts, and already have a short beast stick on order for this. But part of me may eventually want another set of sticks for times traditional stick climbing method might be more appealing. (Maybe it will never be appealing but just hypothesizing here.)

I never gave the XOP sticks a good look before and was comparing them to the short Heliums. Since they’re barely coming out, was wondering how you guys that have used the XOP’s and the regular Heliums would compare them, aside from the obvious double vs single steps. The construction and stacking function of the XOP’s look pretty cool, but I’m afraid the XOP’s might be crazy heavy compared to other options out there now. What are your thoughts on this and in general? Thanks!

I’ve haven’t seen much of anything on XOP sticks on SH. Maybe I missed the wave. Not looking to buy but I am interested to hear from some users as well.

I had xop sticks stacking is awesome they climb really nice..I sold them too heavy...for a heavy guy they have a high weight limit and the bigger steps and standoffs are nice

Good to know. I think I read the pack weight is like 17 pounds? Are they really that heavy??

I dont remember exactly what they weighed but 4 xops felt twice as heavy as 4 lonewolfs

That’s a bummer. If they’re that heavy, that might be a deal breaker for me.
