Setup 1. Wear the Flex saddle in. Nice and streamlined for now. Add approx 97 pounds of clothes and more food and water for the rut.

Pack with 100 ounces of water is 10.2 lbs.
In pack are rain wear, game bag, crossbow holder, extra ropes and pull up rope. Kill kit, mission platform, EWO stick w/2 step aider for one sticking, flashlight with extra battery, deer dragging handle, two daisy chains for hanging gear. All total just under 28 lbs.

Ooh I’m gonna need to borrow this when I try one sticking. Have a plate carrier to train for backpack hikes and I may have dabbled in CrossFit at one time ( don’t judge) . I’ll send a tacti-tool pic soon

37#! I just did a pack hunt for elk and 5 days food and water I was at 38#. Could get lighter with less doubles and carefully packing. 37 seems heavy for a day hunt but I don’t really know much if anything.

This is what I carry during our blacktail rut. Keep in mind I’m always at least 4 miles or more from the truck so I carry what I need to pack out in one trip.
