You can buy the flat hook (I recommend the rounded) already sewn on to a length of webbing (your length choice) from strapworks.comHey red,
So to create this system I need the buckle from Amazon, one 1" flat hook and some 1" webbing (~5-6')? Thanks

Online you'll have to put the whole belt system in your cart but if you call they will sell you just the strap w/hook which is all you need. Saves a couple bucks. You also get to choose your camo color for your webbing!

I got the 7' camo strap with boat buckle and flat hook from customtiedowns.com to use with 6 Silent Approach steps View attachment 6703Tested on the ground, haven't tried in in a tree yet. I think it'll work great. Definitely one of the cheaper ring of steps options out there.

https://customtiedowns.com/product2...ength=8.00&webbing=cw1-c3pe&catlist=1&store=1I can't find the one with the f;athook on that site... Is it under the over centre buckle section?
The boat buckle works great ,but one issue I have is sometimes when it's cammed over You can't get ahold of the handle to loosen it ,thinking about drilling a hole in the handle and putting a small rope on it
I just usually pull the loose end of the strap away from the tree to unbuckle it, the smaller buckles don't have much of a handle.
Thank you guys,so simple I guess I had a senior moment lol.

I bought this product from this product link (I changed nothing) After receiving it , I feel pretty dense. I see no way possible to adjust this strap. I looks like I could possibly use it if I found a tree that is exactly 8ft around & I can hook one end to the other. Before I send these back. What am I missing? With both ends of the strap connected it can not be threaded through the buckle. Or I could wrap it around the tree & tie a square knot. Don't get it.
