Lone Wolf Custom Gear

I think they nailed their price for their target market. If you want a Toyota Corolla, buy a ring of steps. If you want Camry, buy a Predator platform. If you want a Lexus, buy the new Lone Wolf. They do not intend to sell mass market quantities to the average hunter, just like Lexus is not sold to the average buyer. Like I told my friend yesterday, you can always choose to skip eating out for lunch for a month or two and have plenty of cash saved to buy the whole Lone Wolf system if you really want it.

Come on, a Camry?! I think the Predator rates a little higher than that! :D

I just don't see $100 over the predator. I understand it's a tad bit bigger and possibly made in the United States but all your doing is paying for the name. It makes more sense to lower the price and sell more than to price it almost out of the market. I understand they need to make their initial investment back but $280 is a bit extreme. I think a reasonable rate would be $225. The only way I see them selling the platform (a lot) at that price would be if they included the "saddle" with it, which doesn't look that appealing to me.

If I need a platform, I'll probably get the predator or diy something. Right now I'm content with my WE steps.

That platform does look sweet....and probably overpriced....but look at what people paid for the used Assasins. These guys knew that!! I bet you they sell tons of them!! What's an extra $100 these days? I take my wife and kids out to dinner ONE time and it's that much easily. If I really like the predator platform but loved the new Lone Wolf platform...I could find a way to cut something out of my life for $100. You will own this thing for 10-15 years!!

It will be nice to hear some unbiased reviews once they start shipping them out and guys get them around a tree.

I can see the 100 more the more I think about it. At first I had sticker shock. Here are a few things I have come to consider.

1) It is a finished product.
- you wont have to receive it and wax any bolts or paint it for that matter.

2) It is larger, which it seems logical that it will cost more than the smaller.

3) It is made by a company who has been around a long time and isn't interested in a product people buy bc it is a good price.

One thing I love about Tethrd is their receptiveness for feedback. I doubt LW will have the same business ethic.

If the platform had come out 2 years ago, me and a ton of other people would have talked ourselves into forking over the money. Instead of getting everyone that didn't want to diy, they will only get the people who want a bigger platform. If tethrd puts out a predator XL for $225.... market share would be even lower.

All Toyota comparisons make them all sound cheap. Jk. When’s Daytona so we can figure all this out?

The Lexus in this case is too big. If it had improved features besides bulk I would buy it
The predator is a corvette

That may be the case and that would be very simple to work with . But yesterday when I place them together at the show they didn’t seem to lock that tight. I would think you will need a strap to secure them. Again I’m not 100% sure on that.

On the video I saw cody said the ones at the show were loose just to show how it worked. He said the actual product will basically snap together.

Originally when Assasin was released it was packaged with that same style webbed harness.
Retail was between $225-$275 and this was years ago.
I’m assuming Harness was made to pass the TMA regulations for sale of the platform at that time and style of hunting.
So the $279.00 price point is right on even with no harness for today’s market.

more than likely they are loose because of all the snapping and unsnapping done at the show
I'm sure when it was new it snapped, something to consider when it get's used

And this is why i'm willing to wait and support Tethrd if they'll tell me their plans for the future.

My only (small) complaint about the predator is I wish it were larger. I honestly don't believe it is too small. I would just like something a little larger.

I plan on chopping up that alpha this summer too to try out and see how that goes.

I’m surprised they didn’t come out with a water jet platform and cut the weight down. I would almost bet money that happens down the road.

I’m betting they will, but I’m sure the price will jump another $100 too.
