    Hawk hangout tree seat

I've used it. It's safe and fairly secure as far as side loading goes, I'm 240 and it's worked for me. My only issue is the noise you make with the ratchet strap. Not sure it would sit tight with one of the common mods without serious adjustments to the platform location. It's a bit heavy if...

    First decoy buck

Nice buck, great story. I read a story in outdoor life or maybe field and stream about a southern hunter who had booked a semi guided trip for an Alberta giant. He hired a native American guide who assured him he could rattle in a big boy. The hunter, toting a rifle and his guide stopped @ 200...

    taping the sit/drag loops question

I wrapped the loop material around an approximate 6" piece of 9mm rope and taped it with cloth camo tape. The rope inside the loop provided a solid hook up for the biners. I agree, the tape will show wear before the loop material. I think the rope may also aid in distributing the pressure...

An early end to the season

Been really busy with work and training so my season didn't really get underway til this past Wednesday afternoon. Cooler temps had me looking forward to my second sit in my modified sit drag. After an hour and a half I saw a decent mature buck emerge from what I had suspected to be a bedding...

    Hawk Hangout Tree Seat Platform

LW brackets would work with with washers/bushings. You would have to relocate the seat/platform to the middle of the post for a cam lock to work. At least it looks that way to me.

It does have a slight wobble, no matter how tight you crank down the seat attachment nut/bolt.

    Hawk Hangout Tree Seat Platform

I'll be using mine this year. Planning on a couple of builds this winter, not enough time to work on them before the season. Once I complete the builds the Hawks will be useful on my run and gun ground hunts during the shotgun season. Those seat cushions are really comfortable.
