A New Saddle Is Coming

How does this attach as a harness? It looks like there is a waist belt, but are there leg straps as well to keep you from sliding out of the front of the seat?
It is a 5 point harness, leg straps are straps that one time at your shoulders and come up behind the stand to help hold the seat up during travel. You unbuckle theSE straps at the shoulder and they will drop down behind your legs then you reach between your legs grab straps and pull up and around the legs and then buckle to a female buck that is located near the neon loops in the 6th picture. (Just above the orange string stopper on my bow)

Being friends with autumnrider I got the privilege of getting to try it out. This is awesome! I couldn’t find any faults. (Like anything) I would only have to do very few mods to make it a personal fit for me. As far as comfort what is there to say but the most comfortable I’ve ever sat in! you can adjust it silently in any position you prefer at any time. You can sit or lean. You Eliminate knee pads and platform with this set up. I have the kestrel but will be getting the Jx3 for sure! With the kestrel, platform, and knee pads the weight comes out close to the same but with less set up time which to me equals less movement less noise! All I can say is I’m sold on it and looking forward to the release date!

Branding wise I would suggrst going with variations that connote comfort. Just hangin out. Lazy boy in a tree. Certainly a different crowd than ounce counters and streamliners.
I definitely fall into the ounce counter category. But I sure hope someone has one of these at Saddlepalooza this year, I'd love to try it out.

NICE!
the only mod I am thinking of doing for this is to add those square brackets to hold 4 climbing sticks, on the outside edges of the backrest (so i can attach/detach them from the backrest while climbing), and then all set!

This thing looks AWESOME! I can't wait to see these. Good job! I think we need an option like this for extreme comfort. Not everyone wants/needs to be light and minimalist.

I know a lot of guys are ounce counters Im not one of them I’m more of a quite, conceal type. I use a kestrel but if your using platform and knee pads as I do you can eliminate those. So the weight comes in very close to the same.

If the rig can be modded to where the seat is at 90* from the back, and can be used as a "shelf", I could see this being an ideal setup for what we do. One of my big issues with carrying saddle, platform, climbing method, camera gear, hunting accessories, is the profile of the pack needed to do it. I've gotten it fairly small, but I hate having my goofy shape in the tree, and a big giant wart on the tree from the pack.

I've got a GW and it actually does shrink the size of the pack I use when I use it, because of the ability to stuff things between seat and back folded up. I'm sure this is just in my head, but it makes me feel better not contending with a big pack in the tree.

Last season on my first set on out of state hunt, I decided to overcome this by leaving camera bag and stepps bag at the base of the tree. I had a nice 8 walk in on the wrong trail on my weak side and get about 3 yards from tree. His eyes caught the bags, and he froze. I'll never know if he smelled or saw them first, but not getting a shot on him will forever stop me from leaving anything at base of tree.

To the OP - do you see a way you can use some straps or rope to use it sort of like a frame pack? How deep is that seat?

Climbing stix can be left behind you with the seat left up. You can actually pick up on the lower part of seat with one hand so the seat will clear a hook that holds the seat up while you climb. After lifting the seat off the hook, with one hand, lower the seat just slightly so you can take another stick out with the other hand. With hand that is at bottom of seat, lift seat back up till seat settles back on hook. Attach stick to tree, climb to top step and repeat. It's really an easy process.

This is one reason I mentioned in the write up that I did not have to remove the HYBRID from my back until I returned back to my vehicle

The back has ways to attach anything you wish to it. You can play with it and I think you will find a way. Their are straps on the backside of the back that can be utilized for your needs.
Seat depth........I will try to measure tomorrow and answer your question.

I'm thinking it's the perfect addition to a light weight saddle like the Mantis. I have multiple tree stands for different hunts. My climber with the bar all around and a recliner type seat, my assault light weight stand. Same here. The Hybrid for when I have an all day sit and I know where I am going. Mantis for all the other sits, hunt and hunt/ scout trips. I could see myself getting one.

Looks like I found my new saddle for all day rut hunts. Great addition to my Kestrel.
