Best Pack for Saddle Hunting

What would be the best way to haul four full length LW sticks and a predator platform in the MR pop up? I don’t think the sticks would go in the meat hauling area without sticking up too high. There isn’t any compression straps on the back. Could they go along the sides. Maybe two on each side and the predator in the meat shelf? I’ve looked at other packs and I’d like to avoid putting the predator inside a pack with clothes. Trying to avoid buying multiple packs and messing with returning ones that don’t work. Thanks for all your help everyone!

The straps on the side will reach all the way across the back of the pack. You just buckle it into the opposite side buckle instead of the one closest to it

Looks like a 28 or 18. Made my mind up on a pop up just what size? I don’t carry a lot but I get tired of changing my set up. If I’m scouting I pack one way if I’m in swamp I pack another way and so on. Then I end up with a pack full of crap and unload half of it in my truck before I leave.

Yes, you could carry the sticks on the side and predator in the load shelf.

The pop up will work with the platform in the shelf are and two sticks on each side and your bow on top...then take the straps and connect them...cinch them down and it will be locked in.

i like my leech packs for use with Guido's web. it has bungee cords and a belt that will secure it to the tree. I added a shoulder strap.I also use the tz1500 mainly for presets. Normally my lonewolfs or the Wildedge steps are slung. My rifle is slung going across the front of my chest with a safari sling.

The leech packs are really nice - been using one for years. Interesting idea on adding a shoulder strap to it. I either strap mine to my stand (switching to a saddle this year) or use the tree strap to carry over my shoulder. I'm looking forward to actually seeing a Sitka Fanatic Pack when it comes out. From the short videos I've seen on YouTube, it could be my preferred pack with the molle connectors if a predator platform can fit inside it. The only thing I can see as a negative on it right now is the berber material like the fanatic suit...it will probably be a burr magnet for sure.

I’m interested in the new Badlands Vario system and fleece Sitka Fanatic packs set to come out later this year

I have the Sitka tool bucket, but hate it when items flop around. I previously used a Lone Wolf (left frame on stand entire time) and secured my sticks w/talons so no flopping (up and down in one set was zero issues). I'm a bit worried about securing the sticks w/out the talons now that I'll have a Predator Platform, so started this phase of research.

Any use with the following from Tenzing?

https://www.tenzingoutdoors.com/browse/day-packs/tc-sp14

I like the depth of the central area for sticks ...just seems it would be better than the crossover or any pouch model, but maybe I'm wrong.

Just thought I'd ask the question to see if there is any response.

I just pulled the trigger on all my gear so I'm not dying to spend more money and hope I can make the tool bucket work this season...

Thanks

I'm not sure what pack I have or how well it will work for the matter. I bought it after the season ended and haven't looked at it too much since then. But it's made bu Insight. I'll see if I can find a link. I was looking for something a little bigger than what I've been using to accommodate the sticks I have and pack in my bids. Northern Illinois sucks for packing light in the latter part of the season.

I like it. Looks like it might interfere with the bow string. Maybe not?

New to saddle hunting also, but picked up a tenzig sp14 shooter pack.. preliminary set ups and it works good. Keeps full length helium sticks tight to the pack and can easily put predator on. Keeps it low profile and plenty of room for the cold weather clothing I'll be packing in.

I use the Sitka tool bucket and like it. Put the predator inside and strap my sticks to the back of the pack. Still plenty of room for binos, etc. inside. I removed all the buckles and straps from inside the "frame" to cut some weight. I never used them once to carry my lone wolf in, IMO it was just too many extra steps. It's nice to not have to zip the pack up as well.
Do u have a pic of your sticks strapped to the back. I have the tool bucket and run 4 lw climbing sticks. I’m having a hard time finding a way to attach to my pack. Thanks
