That would be the plan. Probably use it early season and then a regular backpack as it gets colder and I need to start packing layers in.

Well I offloaded my MR popup18. Super nice, but they need to offer them in XL. The 39" belt size just wasn't going to cut it for me, and i'm a 40W in plainclothes.

What else is everyone running? Was strongly eyeing the MR Mule + guidelight frame. The badlands vario stuff looks really promising, but wont be available for another month or two.

Am considering a kifaru pack but I think i'd need to call them so they could get an idea of what I'm looking for. All of their packs either look too big or too small on their website. 1800-2000cu. in. pack is about perfect for short midwest whitetail hunts.
 
I just had the pop up 28 delivered yesterday. Seems amazing. Can’t wait to haul something out with it

Also, I want to limit my silhouette in the tree so I'm looking for something smaller. The two I've looked at is the ASAT Coyote Fanny Pack, and the KUIU Venture 1800. Mystery Ranch makes the treehouse but it's a lot of $$. Just looking for thoughts, since I live in the middle of nowhere all my purchases are online, and I really don't get the opportunity to look at things in person. Thanks a lot!

Eberlestock Tailhook would be a pretty sweet pack for saddle hunting I think. Not too big full of feature and comes with a bow holder. Big caveat here is that I am saying this sight unseen.

I've got a 65 dollar Amazon cheapo that's working for now till some one on here tells me what I need to buy
 
I just got a Kifaru shape charge in not too long ago to try out, so far it works great. I put a Sherman pocket on the back and its a solid pack
