Anyone have these that likes or dislikes this platform setup? I am thinking about ordering a set. It appears to be the only ring of steps on the market.

Thanks

I’ve been eyeing the same set. It’s a reasonable price, I’ve been wondering if anyone here is using it?

They work fine with a good strap @Mobile one has started selling them with the same ratchet strap that I use as a platform. So if you order his platform you will get a good ratchet strap with them. You have to tighten then down really tight, it is why a good strap is important.

Thanks,
Boswell
Just watched your video on these! Big help thnx

I just received an order of these yesterday. My initial impression is that they'll work well, though it'll probably be this weekend before I can really play with it at all. I will say the included ratchet strap seems to be very heavy duty, so I have little doubt about it getting them tight enough. It's literally heavy too, though- I'd guess the ratchet strap alone comes close to outweighing the 6 steps combined. That's not an issue for me but may matter in some cases. I was pleased that it did come with the "all black" ratchet. From the images on their site, I wasn't sure that it would, because the images show the brass ratchet.

It for sure is a heavy duty strap ! I didn't realize they had all black options until I talked to Bobby. I had initially purchased the others ... Nothing a little paint won't cure though ! Thanks !

Just received mine yesterday. Went straight out and hung on them. I will say once you think there tight put more a** in it. You really have to get down on the strap to keep them from slipping with side pressure on them. I do like them though. Wide enough to eliminate foot fatigue unlike a screw in step. The grooves kept them from settling but they did slip sideways on the hard bark tree I was in.

Also I was in the sitting position and stood up to work around the tree so the foot angle was much more severe on the side than had I been hooked up as a leaner. Just my .02$

I was using mine today and part of the ratchet bent and it was useless after that. Im not sure if it was a fluke or not. It was the ratchet that Boudreaux links to in his youtube video. You really have to tighten it down so the steps dont move...but perhaps that pushes the ratchet too much. The piece that bent is the flat part that engages the teeth.

I just double checked the rating on the ratchet. The ratchet has a 3300# break strength ! That is an incredible amount of pressure. It could possibly have been a defect , hard to say . But again , email me and I will be glad to send you a new one . Thanks again!

I appreciate the offer, and maybe I was not clear. The ratchet was not from Bullman, it was from a link Boudreaux listed on his youtube video. Thank you...if you still want to send me a ratchet.... ....

So, I pulled the trigger and ordered the platform setup. Quick question though. What am I looking at for delivery time? Should I have gotten a tracking number? I haven’t gotten any information from BullmanOutdoors per se, but a receipt from PayPal. That brings me to another question for most of you hardcore buyers/sellers. Do you trust PayPal? I had a bad experience with them back n the day and I am still nervous about doing a transaction through them.

PayPal was very quick to immediately reimburse me without the normal disputing waiting period when someone oversold their inventory & wouldn’t respond back to me for a refund.

Paypal has been safe and easy for me, i just hate that the stance they take on guns.
