EONPOW climbers

They certainly have a place. The idea is brilliant, but these are junk. They can be modified to be usable though. I shot my last 2 deer this year after climbing with them and I will continue to use them. I have been rappelling down after climbing with them but I'm going to practice putting them back on in the tree more. They are more limited in tree size than spurs, but I like climbing on them better than spurs. Once you set into the tree it is like you are standing on a small platform.
2 questions - Why better than spurs, and I'm assuming trees need to be smaller... what tree would be too big?

Spurs are illegal on many public lands.

They are just nice in that when you have them hooked on you are standing on a mini platform with your foot. With spurs you have to get used to the feeling of standing on this spike on the inside of your foot. They are only good on trees up to around 16-18 inches.
