this method, with a small s-biner to clip around bow or bag strap. other end has a cord/bungee draw string adjustment thingy for retaining the x-coil when packed, doesnt tangle, and the small s-biner as so little mass it doesn't make hardly any noise even if you tried to.

if your lowering heavy things put two or three wraps on a spare biner for friction. simple is better and lighter and para-cord is more adaptable for when things dont go as planned, gear repair, extra cordage to strap meat to frame, etc.
 
Is what I use. Its liter than the doyles for sure but the down side is the thickness of the line. When lowering you have to go hand over hand or else you'll feel that rope burn. And on the pull up its not as much to hold onto. After seeing that video I may have to add the amsteel
