Is there a backpack out that makes carrying sticks easier

Here it is fully loaded with the bow.

Ok, I haven’t gotten my saddle yet. But I am thinking what is going to be the easiest way to tote my sticks. Backpack wise I have a badlands treestand pack but not sure that will do the trick to tote the sticks somewhat comfortable. When stand hunting it’s easy to strap then to the stand. I use 3 muddys with webbing steps added. So any have a better way.

Search Mystery Ranch pop up 28 there is a thread on here about them. I finally pulled the trigger on one. They are getting tougher to find.
I just did what you said. Very nice pack. Just a littly pricey. I would probably go with the 18. Being I don’t film.

Got the pack and my predator platform today. Platform goes inside. Here is some pics of sticks attached to bag. Well it says my images are to big for attachment to the thread. It seems to work the way I would think it would though.

He is one I was able to crop down in sizs enough

It’s smaller you can’t see the whole pack but this is the only way I can get it to fit.

I need a pack that can neatly and conveniently carry my sticks as well as a plethora of other gear and a lot of warm layers for the winter (bibs, jacket, fleece pants, wool pants). I get a deal on Alps as well as Badlands packs. Looking at 2200, diablo dos, super day as well as others. As of now my helium sticks are standard size.

The 2200 has the same 3 lashing straps on the back just like the superday. But the 2200 is bigger by 300 inches I think. It’s also longer. So it would be a great candidate. I bought my superday for a little over $100 used on another forum. I saw a 2200 on there as well. I get a discount on them as well but still couldn’t bet the price I got mine for.

Im lookin at about $155 for the 2200 and $110 for the super day. Will these hang in tree easy or be too big?

What about the alps willow creek? It’s cheap at under $40 and has a pouch in the middle. It is only 1200 cubic inches I think.

I just strapped my platform and sticks to my Badlands Pursuit pack. I don't know if this is the way I will ultimately carry everything, but it is already way better than my summit and the pack!!! I will probably end up swapping the sticks and platform around.

I have been looking for a backpack for the last week every chance I get. I need a small pack for early season that will primarily carry 3 cut down helium sticks. A lot of my hunts before the rut will be 15 minute walks. I’ll be hot on the way in and will put a second layer on towards dusk. I purchased a military style pack by Red Rock gear. I believe it’s the assault. It’s 2.5lbs and is 9.5” wide which will help stay cool on the walk in. The sticks strapped to the back is ok but they pull the top of the pack down which pulls on your shoulders. I’m thinking a bow/rifle holder around the bottom of the sticks holding up the weight may be necessary. My other options are the badlands day packs that are under 2 pounds but I’ll have to rig the bow holders onto them and they are the most expensive. The alps willow creek and hope the fold where the sticks would sit can take the abuse. Or the Insights The Element looks nice, but it’s 3 pounds and at 12” wide shouldn’t make me sweat too bad. I’ll post a picture of the final decision.

I was looking at that pack. It’s light but when you put that on does it pull on your shoulders a lot with no bow/rifle pouch to hold up weight? Also with no waste belt to take the weight of the shoulders. Thanks for posting!

my lower back is a wuss, so I always found backpacking my bow and holding my sticks bundled in hand easiest. being able to switch hands and shoulder the bundle whenever I got tired of one way or another

think I found this recommended guy best to switch between hand/shoulder load and keep weight off my back. https://www.strapworks.com/Universal_Carry_Strap_p/ucs2h.htm

not so hot if you want to be able to shoot on your entrance/exit though, but it still can double as a bow/gun/whatever sling if you don't want it as your stick sling

Yea I would swap the sticks to with stand. They will snag on stuff in that direction. Only know because I have carried mine that way before.

It isn't bad at all, but I'm used to carrying 30+ lbs. It does have a waist strap on it. Just not a big padded one. There are also cinch and chest straps to help hold it close to your body. It's probably not the best pack out there for carrying a lot of weight, but I already had it and seems like it will do a decent job.

It packs much better having the sticks vertical and just laying the platform on top of them....
