Kiwi Klimbers ultralight carbon spurs group buy

Bad news guys...

I talked with the owner of Kiwi last night. He's still 2 months MINIMUM out on delivering products. They're having manufacturing issues.

Here is an alternate course of action...I'm super happy with my Gecko spurs. If you guys want, I can contact them and try to negotiate the same deal. Believe me, these spurs are super awesome.

I’d be interested. Doesn’t sound like the Kiwis would be here by season or pushing it close possiblly. Dang it!!

I've got to get something. I'm planning on using spurs a lot this year. This will be my first season hunting from a saddle and I want to be light and mobile. I'm stoked about all the new places I'll be able to hunt. I just need time to practice. Practice packing my gear, practice my setup, practice shooting.
So, what I'm saying is:
I'm interested.
But tell me, should I be looking at carbon fiber or should I be looking at aluminum. I weigh 260 in street clothes.

I'm in the same boat. No spurs at the moment. I'm proficient with other methods so it isn't the end of the world if I don't have spurs. That being said, if everyone jumps on the Gecko bandwagon and there is a big discount I could be convinced to pick up the Geckos. If that happened, I would expect we wouldn't have enough volume for the Kiwi discount.

Exactly. Carbon fiber spurs are a huge upgrade for me, so whatever we get the deal on is what I'll go with, whenever it happens.
 
I could wait too, I have other climbing methods, but if I don't have some nice spurs to show my wife to justify selling the washing machine, she's not going to be so understanding.
 
I'd rather wait on the kiwi's. I have a belt with the same buckle as the gecko's, and it's annoyingly loud when putting it on. This would be my first (hopefully only) spur purchase, so I'd like to get it right the first time.
