Latitude Rebel Platform Initial Thoughts

Gotcha. That does make sense. I'm still pretty tempted, I happen to work in a field were I could put cuts in, say like on OOAL platforms. Do you think that would suffice?

The OOAL coating factors into the performance of their platforms a good bit.

Though I was glad when LWCG added groves, I don't want for traction on my platforms or stand. Their groves are a bit wider and multi-directional.

I don't see any traction on stuff like the Beast stand. I'm not sure how that effects tree stand hunters, but it worried me for hybrid use.

There are some textured paints that create grip, industrial coatings....aluminum cutting blades on a router table or table saw could get your grove on, possibly.

@Mopar1169, what ya gonna do?

I don't see any problem with the platform for slickness doesn't seem any different than anything else. A good pair of boots goes along ways for traction. Never had my Crispi's slip. If I don't like the finish just hit it with some grit paint and call it good. Which I will probably do anyways takes some of tingy noise out. Maybe some Paracord in few spots.

I am slow replying, I am on Drummond island trying to cover every square inch of my rig with mud. Just about got it done yesterday almost had to break the winch out dif lock saved me was able to back out.

What platform has the best traction that you’ve bought and sold so far?
the fix is pretty good. The trophyline stuff has good traction but for me, the ridge runner had the best traction of all platforms I tried. Something about those divots used with that truck bed liner type spray. That platform was great even with wet super muddy boots

Sorry I didn’t watch the entire video.

The slickness is something I am really really worried bout myself. I even considered canceling numerous times because of that reason.

Did you have a chance to weigh it?

I call dibs when you sell it

Do you know what ooal charges to coat a platform? I thought I saw before some people were sending him stuff to coat before. Maybe he is too busy to do extra stuff these days.

Something like Raptor 2K might do the trick too.

I'm surprised he did/does it, but I'd happily pay that. @enkriss is the only one I know who's brokered that service (thought it was the ION though), not sure how Matt will handle an army of platform spray requests. But I'd definitely ask.

ION was $25 + $17 freight. I had catalyst ship it directly to him.

They don't give that stuff away. How far will a can go?

They advertise Theoretical Coverage at 14.5sqft. 60min pot life.

But, I've never used Raptor. I have experience with 2k urethanes and they've worked great. How you apply will effect finish. A "dry spray" generally produces the most tooth. I imagine it's the same here.

I was hoping someone who has used it would chime in. Anyone?

I don't know about the raptor stuff but has anyone tried bedliner? I asked about bedliner, like rhino or whatever? I will assume someone has and it's not great or it'd be more of a thing.
