I also try to carry everything up during the climb!
It seems to be almost the same thing as my current figure-8-wrapped paracord.

I carry it up with me strapped to my backpack.
- GEM: Given that this is a 'light weight' group, the fact people are willing to carry the extra weight of a Doyle's Hoist speaks volumes. I mean seriously ...the fact that guys who shave their hair, clip their toenails to the cuticle & wear crocks to save weight are willing to pack this hoist speaks volumes
First I like how detailed you went into this! Nice work.
I've always found that point funny. I carried a doyles into the woods a few times after the reviews on here and couldn't believe guys were carrying it. That sucker is big and heavy! I know @flinginairos has his in the bottom of his pack with a hole out of it, that is a better option to me than trying to wear it on my saddle.
I am not using paracord, I have switched to a slightly larger diameter cord that I just got from home depot. It's a little bulkier but it goes in the pack no problem and its still really light weight. It's a little bit stiffer and it doesn't knot up like smaller diameter cords.[/QUOTE
Thanks for the feedback! I'd say Kentucky Bow Rope is similar - heavier diameter but has the slip stopper...

Sooo.
I shave because it's hot as heck, and I've already spent 9 nights camping this year, plus almost daily kayak/hike/bike excursions. Gotta stay clean!
I clip my fingernails so I can play them killer Sabbath riffs and Clapton licks on my electric boogie stick.
I wear crocs because they're literally the best.
Just had to set the record straight!
I do like your write up though. I vote that we put you in charge of all other polls!
Awesome clarification. The things that aren't always obvious...
So ...what's next?
