Raining tonight so thought I would sit in ground blind overlooking primary scrape

Pulled the card when I got here look what was on scrape last night. (I almost hunted this blind last night but decided against it)

First sit on a new property. Camera has tons of pictures. Now we wait....

Was settling in about 45 mins into my sit, forgot my bow hanger, so had my bow hanging from a limb i had cut off a couple yrs back, anyway , grabbed that branch to change position , it broke, watched my bow crash through the limbs from 35 ft. I was lucky enough to be able to fix it, but just sucked blowing my whole hunt.

Nothing to speak of for this evening.
Getting pretty burnt out of not getting anything. Of course thats probably just the cold talking! (Us southerners can’t handle the first freeze)
 
I sat tonight and saw nothing. On a plus note, according to my camera, i did have a decent buck under my stand at 3:40 a couple days ago....

I'm going to try and sit there again tomorrow....

Saw my first shooter of the year: a nice 2.5 yr old 8pt. Pretty tall tines and inside spread just outside his ears. Would be my biggest with a bow for sure. Had him at 50 yards but on the wrong side of a bedding funnel. He came in and worked a rub and a scrape. Going back after him in the AM.

Saw 2 shooters last night. The second one didn't come into range until after dark. He walked by twice at 15 yards.
 
Well, here I was all frustrated with not having a shot and I muffed an easy shot on a doe this morning... pretty sure I picked my 20 yard pin and she was at a little over 30z went right under her.
 
Headed back out for one last sit. Gotta wait a whole week after this before I can get back in a tree :-(

I'm out again. Got a late start, but I'm in a tree. Just barely sprinkling with basically no wind. Last chance before I head back to nd....
