My views this afternoon and tomorrow morning. Temps suppose to drop into 50s by 6pm. Maybe I get something to move my way!

Saw a coyote. Later a buck. As he crossed the coyote trail he turned and left.
Then on the way home a buck hunted my truck. A hit and run.
An expensive way to hunt

Well, today was a cluster.
It was 60 degrees when I left the truck at 5:00am. By the time first light came around, it was 38.

I didn’t see a thing in the morning. Got up around 9:45 and did a slow stalk into the wind through REALLY thick crap. Got to the edge of an curved clearing that has grown really thick. Lots of good browse, solid shot opportunities everywhere but downwind, long distance observation in a 189 degree arc as well.

About an hour after getting in the tree for a half day sit, I noticed my arrow seemed really wobbly. Realized that the Allen screw that held the left/right adjustment on my whisker biscuit was backed out almost to the point of falling out. So, guess who couldn’t shoot his bow.....

I backed out the 1.6 miles back to the truck, in the sleet and moderate rain (which I wasn’t dressed for in the 30’s), ran to my dad’s place which happens to be close. Called him to find his target and he said to grab his Matthews instead. Got back out to the property with just enough time to get into a tree and let things settle down.
All to see nothing again haha.

I’m abandoning that property for good now. That’s several dynamite sit locations with PERFECT weather conditions for movement with only 2 sightings on property in 3 years.
Headed over to Oklahoma in the morning for a spot where I keep seeing deer.

I keep praying for a deer to hit and run. I’ve been eying a pretty front bumper for my tacoma and can’t afford it otherwise!

Follow up to my beautiful day, on the hunt. Was settling in about 45 mins into my sit, forgot my bow hanger, so had my bow hanging from a limb i had cut off a couple yrs back, anyway , grabbed that branch to change position , it broke, watched my bow crash through the limbs from 35 ft. I was lucky enough to be able to fix it, but just sucked blowing my whole hunt.

I'm tapping the unlike button on this quadro. Glad the bow wasn't destroyed.

Live from the ground blind. My 3rd time in one of these.....hate it but like it. Good wind so I am giving it a try.

Got to my spot this morning only to find someone put up a tree stand and a corn pile right next to my tree. At least they're not here. I've had a button buck walking around for 2 hours. This spot usually has a ton of scrapes but nothing.

Wish I could be in a tree right now. I got a call this week saying I am a finalist to win a side by side ATV, problem is I have to be present at final drawing to win. I had mixed feelings, if I go I am not going to win and I missed a day of hunting, if I go hunting instead I will probably win the dang thing and won't be there to claim the prize.

I decided to go to the contest and had to stop for 3 different groups of deer crossing the road in the 10 mile drive, their either moving like crazy this morning or simply rubbing it in. I better win something.

I use blue locktite on mounting bolts and I actually keep a folding Allen wrench set in my truck for this. I check my bolts about once a week. I changed sites a couple of years ago because the micro adjustable locking bolts kept getting loose. Good catch missing or wounding a deer would be a heart breaker especially if it was a giant buck

Nothing this morning but a fawn out of range and a little 6 in before legal light.

Hoping the end of this cold front produces tonight. Temps are back almost to the 70’s tomorrow with winds changing to SW.
