I went the Home Depot. I use end caps as the bolt

Just make sure the arm is resting on the flat spot of the nut and not the rounded slippery part lol....2 regular nuts work great too... I'm sure you already know that, I just care.

Not yet. I am planning to use it first then maybe change them out with a washer and a Allen key bolt so it goes mor flush on the inside.

It looks like your bolt mod is mounted more forward than mine. You have to be at least a 50 degree angle i would guess. Not saying it is a bad thing because i have another hand climber that i'm going to go for a touch more angle myself. I'm thinking anywhere in the 47 to 51 degree angle will be perfect. Might even be better! Let me know after you test N tune.

Yes I think it is. I did not do it on porpoise. Try to be a close to what you had done. But it I believe any angle is in that ball park will improve the climbing.

But I have question? Do you tie the arms down? And the foot strap I saw you have it towards the back. I saw on the other thread it was just in front. Have you played around with that part?

I agree, A few degrees either way is fine. I drilled mine free hand with no measurements and it works perfect. Each side is a little off, no issues.

As for the foot strap, very perceptive! i removed it for the mod and mounted it back on wrong. We like the strap located between the mod bolt and the factory arm bolt. So lift the arm, install strap and push the arm back down. Some guys with huge feet may need to mount the strap more forward as their toes may hit the tree. My strap works great but i may go to a more simple buckle.

I do not zip tie the arms anymore. If you snug the arm bolt to where its tight but you can still fold it flat, that works great for us. Never moves on its own.

Went hunting in Brazil over Christmas and this was my tree stand! KNew it was time to to change something!

Few of those stands off a river I hunt

Reminds me of our tree forts growing up which were pretty sketchy

what is the best way to make foot loops for the hand climber?

I personally like a single strap running across with a rope tied in the center for pulling it up to slide feet under. Also doubles as a safety line. George tried two separate straps, one for each foot but he ended up with a single aswell. Thought about playing with a 2" wide strap but the climber is so light, a 1" works great. Having an adjuster on the belt is cool because you can adjust for different size/ style boots.

I copied you! I have mine loose and spread my feet to tighten it. If you know what I mean. Oh and thanks! Just want you to know you have helped me out a lot and I appreciate what you've been doing.
