I LOVE my platform but the one thing that was bugging me was what to do with it while I climbed or rappelled down. I had a loop of paracord tied to it so I could sling it over my shoulder but it was always swinging down and banging into stuff and making noise. I got to thinking last night that if it had a clip on it so I could clip it to the back of my SitDrag it would be perfect. Found an old tape measure, stole the clip and screwed that sucker on there. Works great! I plan to clip it on the back of my saddle as I climb then just strap it to my pack like always for the walk out.

Just got to try it on my sit drag. Works great! I could even hook it to my saddle while walking I think. I'm mainly concerned about a place to put the platform while I climb and I think this will work great.

I have gear ties on each side of my SD that I attached for sticks. When I'm using my platform, I'm generally not carrying sticks so I use the gear tie for my platform. I like your clip idea too. Simple and effective.

Tried it out the other day on a hunt and it worked perfect! Couldn't even tell it was hanging off my saddle as I climbed with my spikes

I hang mine with the platform up - I just have a loop of paracord - run it through the platform and then back over the tree bracket.

eBay. Molle dump pouch. They work great!

I bought the same dump pouches. They're PERFECT. For those looking at pouches for your saddle, don't buy anything else. I've used them all, and these are easily the best.

Perfect size to mount right on the saddle. I use one on my right side and it holds my tether, LB and back strap along with my ATC and biner for rappelling.

I have one on each hip. I keep my Tether/Ropeman/Carabiner on my right hip. The Lineman belt stays attached to my Lineman loops at all times except during the hunt. I'll take it off after my tether is attached and place it in the tether's pouch. As soon as the hunt is over, LB goes back on the loops for the descent.

On my right hip I keep my bow/gear holder strap. During the hunt I'll usually put my range finder in this pouch.

Do you mind posting a link to the ones you are talking abou? With an endorsement like that, I'd hate to get the wrong ones!
