New Aerohunter saddle

Thats why I configure my Amsteel bridge the way I do on my Kestrel. I make an overhand knot or clove hitch around the loop before I do the bury. It locks tight on the loops. Its just an additional way to fine tune comfort.

That's exactly it. Don't know how long it will last with webbing, as it doesn't constrict as more weight is applied.

I was strong... The flex was in my cart all day but i did not order it! I do not need another saddle. The Kestrel I have is fine. So what if it looks cool and might reduce hip pinch I don't really suffer from, I don't need it. I only have 1 butt, why do I need 2 saddles? Who cares if the predator pattern is awesome, I don't need it.

Hahaha yess!

Buying a new saddle is safer than gold. If you don't like it, someone on here is guaranteed to buy it for what you paid just to skip the waiting list. If you want to use the free market model and make more, just wait until September nor August and they will pay over new!

Is that a size 1 or size 2? I have a size 1 Kestrel.
I went with size 2. I am 5' 10" and have a 32 to 33" waist. I could fit in a size 1, but prefer the extra room for comfort. The size 1 Kestrels I tried felt too constrictive for me.

For the guys who own the Flex, how packable is it compared to other saddles? If you guys can take a pic or something if you have time I'd surely appreciate it.

If you have ever put your hands on a kestrel, it's exactly the same size as it. But believe it's lighter, has one layer of material for the seat area, instead of 2 layers on the original kestrel. I don't have a mantis to compare it.

I will try and get a couple pics today and post them.

Here are some side by sides of a Mantis size M and a Flex size 1. As for weight, almost double, however, keep in mind that the M Mantis weighs almost nothing, so the Flex is not heavy by any means. Also a L Mantis is probably closer in size to the Flex 1.

Every type of webbing used on the Flex seems to be a bit more heavy duty and rugged. Dont get me wrong, i have no doubt the Mantis is fully capable and is beyond safe enough for what we are doing. Just stating an observation. Also the mantis has 1 waist buckle, which is the same as the Flex's 2 leg buckles, and the flex has a larger waist buckle. I feel this is where a fair amount of the added weight comes from.

I really like both. Not much difference leaning, Flex has edge sitting. Really like LM loops on Flex. Flex also has more easily usable mollee webbing i feel. Obviously the adjustable webbing bridge is nice on the Flex, especially for a noobie. I saw the elastic webbing others have sewn into flex portion of the Flex and this a great idea/improvement. Also i think that mesh material like the Mantis or Kite would make for a better saddle in my opinion. But not sure if you could do that with flex feature or not.

What’s the weight of the flex without those 3 clips you added?

Thank you very much Tater! Exactly what I was hoping to see

Got mine a few days ago and I'm loving it. For all u guys worried about sizing im 6'1 215lbs some pants size is 34 or 36 depending on brand. I got a size 1 and I think it's perfect. I've been using trophyline ambush size medium since prob 06-07 so I'm use to a smaller saddle. I cant speak for any of the other saddles but to me feels more comfy than my trophyline time will tell once I do some long sits in ot. got the closed webbing bridge and u can really dial it in zero hip pinch, slides in biner like butter. plus backband is awesome skyjacker good idea with prussic loops I'll def be doing that.
