I got a pair of these for this year. Haven't had to use them yet but I don't think it will be too long before they come out. Actually have a rubber sole on them think they will work nice.

Of everything I bought this year, I cannot believe I put these off for so long. Genuinely game changing View attachment 94761

I don't own one to try it, but paired with this if you had a narrow waist almost looks like the inner clips might attach to your saddle bridge or pant belt loops if wider waist, if you didn't want to wear it with the belt. Thought I'd share the idea. Last photo is the product video.

If I’m around a 33 waist and wear 34 jeans. Would I get a small or medium? Going to add it to my Amazon Christmas list ha.
Full disclosure, I got one. Love it. I haven’t retired my CGM Sidewinder and didn’t want to say anything until I hunted out of it. Well I have now for the past couple of weeks. There’s a lot to like with this saddle. The buckles for the waist and the leg loops are clutch. The extra strap retainers are built tough and work. I got it with the JRB discount. Fast shipping too. The only thing I did was steapthnstrip the sewn eyes covers as they were squeaking with my bino chest rig. The rope bridge is great. Will never use an amsteel bridge anymore.

Did you use them yet? Thoughts compared to the other Buffalo Wool socks you use?

Thanks.
Id say they're their worst sock. They are beasts. Super soft. But they are crazy thick. Even the thickest darn tough is maybe a third the thickness. I can only use those socks in my gumleafs and 2 sizes big late season rifle boots.
I think their best sock is the Pro gear socks. The ones half merino and half silk. Perfect thickness and warmth

Thanks. I need a replacement for the thickest Darn Tough. A first for me.

Supposed to be guaranteed forever. They should replace.

Lifetime guarantee, I’m sure they will replace it. But it’s only been worn twice before…so I’m willing to try other options.

I bought a pair of the buffalo wool extreme fingerless wool gloves. Yep… I spent $90 on them… don’t judge. I wear size XL gloves in every brand. A lot of times they are too small. I bought a size large in these and they were huge. After 1 use they stretched to gigantic. They are warm I will give them that but the fit and durability I rate them an F. They look scraggly and like they are unraveling.

I would send them back and get a new pair. I dont know how many hundreds of miles I have on darn tough socks now but have had no issues and needed no replacements. Best socks I have worn by a long long shot. Sucks you got a faulty pair though.

I have a fair amount of time on midweight Darn Tough boot socks and their ski socks with no issues. This is the only HWT pair I have (had). What’s funny is I got the heavier socks to swap once I get to my stand location to start each hunt with 100% dry feet. That sock tore like wet paper.

I’ve switched from 400 gram boots to much better 200 gram mtn boots and am looking for something Warmer than midweight but also durable.

Thought I’d try Buffalo. I’ve mid-weight alpaca socks already. I was interested in the these new Kodiak socks because of the higher Bison down content (65% overall). But it sounds like they’ll be too bulky.

Maybe I’ll just try grey wolf boot blankets or Arctic Shield.
