I'll say this, there is no better "harness" than the Kestrel for hanging or taking down hang-on stands.
I still plan to spend a portion of my hunts in traditional hang on stands so I'll still need to deal with hanging them. Installing hang-ons with regular harnesses with lineman's belts sucks and can't compare to hanging stands with a tether instead of the lineman's.
The lineman is around the tree right where you need to handle the stand, and also where the straps or chains are.
When hanging stands with a saddle, the tether is higher and out of the way. And the comfort level is a lot better, too. With a traditional harness, hanging stands is sometimes an uncomfortable chore and I can't wait to get back on the ground.
With a saddle, I can hang there and easily deal with those unforeseen curve balls the tree throws at me. Anyone that's hung their fair share of stands knows what I'm talking about. There's often a knot, bump, lump or whatever that prevents the stand from seating itself, and a regular harness gets uncomfortable.
Aero Hunter should include that application in their marketing.
There's more to a Kestrel than just hunting from it.
