I have a Lone Wolf Assassin and do love the platform. I was wondering who has had a assassin and now uses a predator. Which do u like better and why. Thanks

I have both and the Assassin is very roomy, stable and comfortable but it comes at a price with its overall size and weight.
The predator is much smaller and not as stable unless toe hooked very aggressively.
Both will do the job for saddle hunting it comes down to individual likes or needs

The assassin feels like your carrying a cinder block compared to a predator. A predator will fit inside most backpacks and you forget about it. Very lightweight, very stable, easy to use platform. All that being said I am a fan of the assassin platform. I am particular about my platforms and prefer to carry a little extra weight in that department if it means I'll be a little more comfortable during an all day sit. For long sits and most of the time I carry a ridge runner for that reason. If I'm doing a quick 2-3 hour hunt I'll grab the predator.

Is the ridge runner much larger than the predator?

I have both, my plan is to use the predator for my 3-5 hour hunts. Come rut, I will probably take the assassin when I will most likely be sitting all day. It will also be cooler then, so a little extra weight isnt as bad.
 
I'm totally lost with the comments the predator is less stable? I've used mine for 100s of hours and I've never had it budge, not even slightly.

Same here Dave. I’ve used one for two full seasons on just about every type of tree I can imagine. Never one issue.

For me, I would say the assassin is more stable, I think its due to the sharper offset bracket. I know I can put 3x the side pressure on my assassin than I can on my predator. But, generally I dont need to put a lot of side pressure on, so normally the predator is just fine and its size is much easier to work with.

But, I will never be selling my assassin either.

I have an assassin and predator on the way. Do you find the Assassin is significantly more comfortable?
 
I’ve got the assassin and agree with all previous comments.

I wish, however, someone made a “predator pack” for the assassin. Especially if it had Molle loops to attach sticks.

I’d be the first to purchase.

I wish the Predator had the stomp-pad like the Assassin, and there’s no way I’d hunt on the Predator without toe-hooking it first, but I think it’s pretty much perfect otherwise. I don’t like the batwing as much as on the Assassin (LW has the absolute best batwing IMO) but the Predator is a great size and weight for my 5’7” frame, and I’d buy a second one if they start adding a stomp-pad.
