Pursuit platforms

So you're the one in the striped cap then.

It was a spot of humor, but you're pushing pretty hard for some reason.
Nope, I don't like striped caps!:)

I'm just curious why it's wrong or foolish to suggest that you may have a different opinion if you try something.

I'm a big proponent that trying, and testing equipment is the only way to determine what is right for you.

That is why I try to attend saddle seminars and gatherings or help local guys by letting them try my equipment.

I tried a spot of humor and now I'm pushing too hard! That's Funny!

Buddy, I've shared your "New Gear Release" platform review post on here a couple of times for folks to read who were interested in the platform. I've mentioned this design in context of "soft platforms" as a potential way to skeletonize the things.

But I'd stick my tongue to the telephone pole before I'd hunt off one.

Has nothing to do with a triangle flattening into a square, I just don't feel confident shooting from small platforms. (Although, the triangle crush isn't real comforting, but I agree a little give can improve comfort, so long as the thing doesn't implode.)

I appreciate that, thank you!

That is certainly your prerogative, but I think you are missing out.

After trying both platforms extensively, that is not even the slightest concern for me!

I base all this on the actual use and testing of the platform in the field. What are you basing your assessment on?

I'm not sure what more you want other than to goad people into buying this product.

I have passed your review onto those interested.

I make my assessment of geometrical distortion from observation of the platform underfoot by folks standing on the platform. See Youtube.

I pray it doesn't implode, because I don't want anyone to get hurt.

I assuredly am not missing out because I cannot execute a standing shot, or turn standing on the platform.

How is suggesting they try it before they decide to buy it goading people into buying it?

Look at the many positive reviews! You highlight the one negative review I'm aware of, which could be an anomaly.

I have spent quite a bit of time on the platform and never had an issue at all.

I've also let others try the platform and have not experienced any issues.

We should discount all the positive first-hand experiences I and others have had based on one review that isn't. That just doesn't make any sense!

If you want to rely on one negative third-party review that fits your narrative, that is your prerogative, I will always rely on first-hand experience myself.

I suggest others do the same and watch as many reviews as possible but let their own hands-on experience guide their choice of whether to buy the product or not.

If @Stykbow1 is a vendor rep for Pursuit then he ain’t supposed to be in the non-vendor forums defending, supporting, or pushing products. Per the site rules that stuff is dedicated to the vendor specific forums. Plus when vendors typically enter a non-vendor thread to talk about their product the thread ends up getting moved or shut down. I’m no mod, but just trying to remind y’all.

@Plebe makes a good point abt not wanting one because it doesn't suit his hunting style so trying to convince him to try it is a waste of time. this platform is for folks who love to just use ROS ( which are not usually our large bodied brethren) and this is a perfect compromise in size and weight for a run n gun style. Tbough it could have been bigger with 1 more rib on the outside. I know ill only use it for quick hunts. Any full afternoon or day ill only use my big cf platform.

If they could make one big enough to actually stand up and turn around on that was significantly lighter than my edp I might be interested. I’ve never seen the point of any of the tiny platforms when you could just use a ros and have the same functionality. Unless it’s purely a comfort thing.

Precisely. It doesn't work for me.

Even as an option with a JX3, where I won't pressure the platform fully very often, it doesn't have a flat side and I don't think it's wide enough for all day comfort.

I mentioned before the idea of having a "ramp" at the foot of the post of a hang on to create some foot relief and make use of some of the dead space in that area around the post and V.

This kind of design could be a good candidate for something like that.

As is, it just doesn't fit my needs.

Honestly, I haven't hunted it. I got it with the though of using it as an all day rifle saddle option during NE winter hunts.

So far a ROS has been the best fit, not so much as a platform, but for comfortable foot rests that don't add a lot of weight to a heavy setup.

I am pretty interested to see if the Latitude X-Wing would be a fit.

Im about there with the jx3. Just planning on using it on ground turkey hunting, and on tree at ground level during gun season. Im
Not sure I like a ROS but steps are good for me to climb with. Im looking to replace my diy cam over platform with something lighter
