The ultimate ultralight saddle?

I need a sit drag made out of ripstop
I was going to order some fleece from that link Sam potter provided. They have some really nice camo fleece - however, the shipping for 10 yards was more then the fleece itself - $24.00 for cheapest shipping - I cancelled the order. Sorry but that is outrageous.

This thread is exactly where I am heading. I gave the kestrel a full season of hunting and it is a great saddle - just not what I want. I am going back to an ultralight saddle and RC harness. I do understand the rationale of not being liable from a company's standpoint.

Are you selling the kestrel?

I didn't get as far as trying to place an order. The fleece I used for my seat came from the crafts section at Wally World.

I found done good deals on Amazon and I have a bunch heading my way. Cant wait to make and try one out.

This is my fleece saddle. I've killed 4 deer out of it so far. It's a doubled layer of fleece, and I sewed the ends to some 2" webbing after folding it over some 2" webbing on the end. Super comfy except my rock climbing harness causes some pressure points. Looking to go to the kestrel next year so I have an all-in-one solution.

I think I'll stop at Walmart too

I notice this fleece stretched more in one direction than the other.

Haha, I wouldn't last in a HOA community :)

It’s not bad if you get a decent one.
If it’s not your forever home, an HOA is unbeatable in home value retention.

We haven’t ever gotten a letter.

Found just the right camo for Pink Squirrel to match his arrows. Lol

Oh come on you can do better than that. While we have a lot of Minnie Mouse at home, remember I have a 2 year old girl so we have lots of this too:

I noticed the same thing... I wondered what way it is supposed to go. I assumed the stretchy side goes across your body. Maybe @DaveT1963 or @BCHunter could answer this simple question.
Um... I didn't realize there was a difference. So maybe I got lucky, or it could be better if I went the other way? I'm out of town for the weekend so I can't test mine out till Tuesday.... I guess since fleece is so cheap, maybe make one of each and see what you like?

$6.95 per yard at my Walmart.
I would think you would do your gathering and knots on each end of the stretchy direction for most comfort. But maybe the non stretchy direction would be stronger?
