Things I'm Changing after Saddlepalooza

Definitely driving. There is so much more I wanted to bring.

@redsquirrel cost me money on new yoder chaps

@GunsightMountain cost me money on upgrading my range finder and my hammock straps.

@Boudreaux cost me money on an outpaq

Drinking with @huck72412 cost me some brain cells and probably a few years off the end of my life.

I don't know if I can be friends with you guys. You're expensive.

And that doesn't count all the money I had into that darn predator saddle....

But I'd do it all again

Which Rangefinder did he have?

After about 30 hours of research I landed on the vortex 1500. I love everything about it… Good size and weight, red digital readout, scan feature, angle compensation, and most shockingly it actually reads out as far as it says it does… I ranged a tree at 1459 yards the other day. On top of that the obvious vortex stuff like great glass and top-notch customer service.

I hear Vortex customer service and warranty is top notch. I actually sold the only rifle I had with a Vortex scope on it. It was their bottom line but was a good scope.

I actually haven't used mine all that much. I bought it for out West and have used it somewhat. The buck I shot last fall was close enough that I just used the top pin. When I was deciding, I thought the Sig Kilo 2000 was pretty nice too, maybe even a hair better than the 1500, but the warranty wasn't as good. I've heard that Nikon came out with one this year which has built-in image stabilization, so it looks steady even when you're holding the rangefinder with one hand.

I have the 1000 and have loved it but getting ranges over 4-500 yards was tough. After seeing how easily the 1500 picked up things in the 700-1000 range, I was sold.

I’m definitely looking at the Tingley boots with Yoder chaps also. @redsquirrel I understand how light they are but how is the comfort of the boot itself? I’m using muck equalizers right now. They are heavy but I can wear them all day and climb in them as well.

Now that you mention it, image stabilization would be pretty nice.

Tingley boots are basically knee high crocs, same material. You hardly know that you have anything on your feet.
But they have no shank and little lateral foot support. I put Superfeet insoles in a lot of my footware. They really help .

My wife said “What no pigs?”
Then “you sure do know how to spend money”
Followed by “What’s the must have for Hunting or Safety this week?”
Im not sure what order but that was pretty close. Of course after the I’m glad your home and did you have fun?
AND then came the JOKES! How was broke back mountain? You ain’t pregnant are you! Bwahahahaha my wife is pretty great. And we have a weird since of humor around our house.

I wore the ones without chaps all early season. I never had any comfort issues.

Gonna give the secondary lineman's rope as referred to herein a run. Thanks also to bowhunter15 for the design on my primary lineman's rope.

Can the mini lineman's belt be used as the primary belt? If not what is the main reason? Rope wear?
