Sorry to here that. Our youth hunt starts on April 21st and the regular turkey season comes in a week later the 28th here in PA.

It sure looks like it was pouring down rain but when it rains and it's not too hard I set up a ground blind in the fields and usually have good luck with turkeys. Turkey seem to like to go to the fields when it rains.

This is why I live down south. Having grown up in that crappy white stuff in New England, I hate snow! I'd rather deal with the Rattle Headed Copper Moccasins and Skeeters than that white stuff.

3 days of record rain followed by off and on snow here in SE michigan. Our turkey opener is on Monday. Supposed to warm up a tad but overnight lows will be in the teens and twenties... gonna need the buddy heater!

I just checked around Lenawee and the only licenses available aren't until May now. I got interested too late. Oh well.

Looks like sunny and 60 for turkey opener on Monday!! What little snow we got is already gone... just need some sun to dry things out!!

Congrats @flinginairos, that is a nice bird! I got out early this morning where I thought those Toms from Saturday were roosting and nothing, it was cold but I never heard a thing. It is really frustrating sitting in the woods not hearing a thing, I need to give run and gun a go!

Thanks! This morning was weird lol. I got one to shock gobble on the roost but never heard him again after two hours. The woods were dead silent and then it was like someone flipped a switch! Hens everywhere started cutting and yelping and got this bird fired up. I actually ran to get to them and the hen busted me at 40 yards and flew off. The gobbler didn’t see me and went over the ridge. I circled around and he gobbled on his own looking for his lost hen. His last mistake was thinking I was the real deal

Just about finished the curing process on the cape from the bigger bird I killed this year. I’ll most likely mount it on a pallet wood backing and maybe frame a picture of hero shot from the hunt. I love the colors on this bird. Full Osceola

Nice lookn birds fellas! Had a real nice conversation this morning with a gobbler just couldn't get him to come in, Ahhhhhhh! Still was an awesome experience, love turkey hunting, nothing like it!
