Your climbing method.

I have one bolt set up that I've hunted out of twice. I left the bolts in for about three weeks. The last time I hunted I thought I would pull the bolts. I guess I'm going to have to bring something to pull them with because they wouldn't move. Any ideas?

That will happen. I have about 150 bolts in trees right now that will need to be pulled. Crowbar maybe.

A hammer too to break the seal. Sap, ice, whatever.

A quick tap on the end like you are driving a nail will usually break them free. Seem counterintuitive but works.

My approach is a little different than @JCLINE84 s.

When I step down on the foot ascender it grabs and pulls the rope thru the Rollclip Z and lifts the bridge carabiner (and me). The Safeguard captures the upward motion. The rope feeds freely through the foot ascender when I lift my leg. Each step shortens the gap between the Safeguard and the Ropeman so when the gap gets small (about every second step) I just advance the ropeman up the rope by hand as far as I can reach. The system gives me a two to one mechanical advantage so there is virtually no effort involved but you only move up 1/2 the distance of each step. It's still very quick and quiet. As I said, its almost effortless.

Edit: Climbing Process: Lift right leg and step down, repeat. Move Ropeman up rope. Lift right leg and step down, repeat . . . etc. I gain about a foot for every step.

I know this post is a few days old, but it got me to thinking. Do you need to anchor the tag end of the rope, or is the weight of the rope alone enough to get it to slide through the foot ascender when you lift your right leg?

The weight of the rope is usually enough except maybe for the very beginning. Rather than anchoring the rope, you may hang a weight on it such as your throw bag.

Sorry about the delay, as @pesqimon noted, the weight of the rope is plenty after the first couple of feet. I do sometimes need to manually feed it thru for the first step or two.
