My approach is a little different than
@JCLINE84 s.
When I step down on the foot ascender it grabs and pulls the rope thru the Rollclip Z and lifts the bridge carabiner (and me). The Safeguard captures the upward motion. The rope feeds freely through the foot ascender when I lift my leg. Each step shortens the gap between the Safeguard and the Ropeman so when the gap gets small (about every second step) I just advance the ropeman up the rope by hand as far as I can reach. The system gives me a two to one mechanical advantage so there is virtually no effort involved but you only move up 1/2 the distance of each step. It's still very quick and quiet. As I said, its almost effortless.
Edit: Climbing Process: Lift right leg and step down, repeat. Move Ropeman up rope. Lift right leg and step down, repeat . . . etc. I gain about a foot for every step.
