Should I be scared at 300?

I already broke an xop stick. So I really don’t want another reason to question my size and consider some gross diet :tearsofjoy:

Gonna try it at about 1-2’ and see how she goes from there. Especially since I will only have my rock climbing harness to tie off to. Should make one good foot pic with size 14 clown shoes (crocs) on that little platform
 
So I have taken the advice of many on the site and at work today I put the buckle in a vise and used a prick punch to bend the sharp stubby end of the spring over to the side. Next I took my trusty lighter and melted/burned all the fuzzy materials off the strap where the spring tore it up. Next I ran the strap back and forth through the buckle trying to make it catch on the material of the strap. The modification seems to have worked although I have not actually tried it on the platform around a tree yet. I will make another post when I do. Good luck boys and girls. Try this method.
 
I recieved mine in the mail this past week. Intial thoughts coming soon. I have already started a video on it. I will post a link to it if anyone wants to see it when I get it posted. Hopefully I can work on the video some more this weekend. But I’m short I love it and I am happy with it.

I bought a replacement LW strap a few weeks ago to try on a homemade platform. I am using it with the predator and have no issues.

Have lonewolf sticks and stands so I guess I could use ether. I haven't tried the strap that came with the stand yet heck I haven't even tried the platform yet . Hope to in the next few days.
 
To be honest I never tried my Tethrd strap. I wanted to put a strap on step on it and the Lone Wolf looked easier to get the stitching out of....

Now aint this frustrating as hell. Tried it on a tree after work and now the buckles messed up. I press down to release it from the tree and its stuck open. I stood on it at 2 ft. off the ground and went to release it after taking my weight off it and standing back on the ground and the buckle stayed open. Now I don't trust it. What happens at 22ft. if she lets go. Im not worried about falling. I'm worried about getting down the tree if the buckle were to fail and the platform dropped.

Guess Im just gonna put a lone wolf strap on it so I feel safe. I kinda wish I would have waited to order the platform. I think they will make changes soon and get everything fixed. I dont think there will be any issues with the saddle though.
 
I hope so. Its kind of an expensive pc of equipment not to work right from the start. Greg an Ernie I'm sorry for being such an A hole but thats what us old guys do.

You mentioned in your earlier post you put the buckle in a vise? Just making sure maybe the buckle casing didn't get slightly bent and is causing it to hold open? Not blaming you at all, just want to help figure it out

Yep. They got some tweets to make from what I see. I plan to go straight to an amsteel mod.
