FYI, I tried a stick without all the internal reinforcement, just the 6061 aluminum 1/16" tubing. Initial trials felt pretty solid. This saves some weight but more importantly makes manufacturing on my end much easier. I'll keep on eye on it, and if I see deformation, I can always add the reinforcement later. Here are some pics with a standard 2 step alternating aider. The top of the stick, after doing the "Flinging flip" is 8 feet for me. So I'll be able to climb to 24 feet, with 6 pounds of sticks (3 sticks) in probably 3-4 minutes.
